August 13, 2009 Governor Riley Offers Rewards for Information Regarding Double Homicide Investigation in Lee County MONTGOMERY - Governor Bob Riley is offering rewards of $5,000 each for information regarding two murders committed in Lee County. I hope these rewards will encourage people to come forward and help law enforcement officers solve this terrible crime, said Governor Riley. Whoever committed these murders must be brought to justice. Governor Riley offered $5,000 rewards for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the July 23, 2009 double murder of Jerome Brundage, 38, and Carol Oliver Dowdell, 42. Both victims were found at a residence on Turk Willis Road.
